Our School Day

Getting to School

We encourage the children to walk, run, hop, scooter, cycle or even pogo to school.  However, we appreciate this is not always possible and if you do need to bring the car then we would ask you to park in Twelve Acre Approach, Little Tesco's or the Bell Public House car parks. These are only five minutes walk from the school and this helps stop the dangerous congestion that builds up around the layby.

Disabled badge holders may park in the school grounds but this needs to be arranged in advance.

Please contact the school if you require access.

The Start of the Day

Our Nursery runs a rolling 'drop off' which starts at 8:30am until 9:00am for the morning session and 12:30 until 1:00pm for the afternoon session.

The bell goes at 8:50 and our School day starts at 8:55am.

We do ask that the children do not arrive before 8.45 a.m. especially the older, unaccompanied, children.

When the bell goes, would all KS1 parents please stand back to allow the children to be able to find their lines and the teachers to be able to see the children clearly.

Lunchtime is between 12:15pm and 1:15pm.

Children going home for lunch may be collected from the KS1 playground and are asked to be back at school before the bell goes at 1:15pm.

Reception classes finish at 3:10pm and parents collect from outside their child's class in the Foundation outside area.

The main School bell goes at 3:15pm.

We stress to children that if Mum, Dad or the person supposed to collect them at the end of the day, is not there, they MUST come back into school and tell a teacher. Please help by underlining this vital message.

Nursery finishes at 11:30am for the morning session and 3:30pm for the afternoon.

Nursery parents collect their children from the Nursery entrance.
